1)Qualification
Professional certificate, diploma, advanced/higher diploma, bachelors degree or COC Class 3 (WKO)
2)Experience
At least 1-2 years experience in crew management will be added advantage
3)Knowledge, Skill & Abilities (KSA)
Knowledge of industry regulations including STCW and MLC
Knowledge of MLC and Labour law
Excellent communications skills
Problem Solving skills
Proactive, take initiative and well organized
Ability to work with and maintain confidential documentation
Well-versed in crew change procedure during COVID-19 pandemic.
Develop and maintain an organized plan for efficient crew changes for crew members that ensures continuity of vessel operations and good harmony and relations with crew members
Maximize crew availability by constantly reviewing crew movements and maintaining contact with the off-duty crew
Ensure all crew has proper and up-to-date licensing as required for that position. Send out required reminder notices.
Plan and manage leave rotations for the crews to synchronize with their rejoining or reassignments dates
Ensuring all the certificates, SEA, and relevant crew documents are verified and maintained in the system/software are in place, valid and to process for Marine Audits
Ensure all matters comply with ISM/ISPS Code and the Company Management System in practices, procedures, and record keeping
Provide 24-hour call support to operations during assigned weekends
Personally visit assigned vessels to increase understanding of how this role supports business
