Job Description
The Sales Team Lead is responsible to lead and manage a team of sales representatives to develop sales strategies and objectives while develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the business goals, target markets, and services.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to develop the skills and capabilities of team members.
- 2. Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with sales management to develop sales strategies and objectives.
- Assist in setting sales quotas and targets for the team.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats.
- 3. Sales Execution:
- Lead by example in prospecting, presenting, and closing sales deals.
- Assist team members in generating and managing leads, conducting product demonstrations, and negotiating contracts.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
- Address escalated customer issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- 4. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales team performance against targets and KPIs.
- Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for the team.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales metrics, trends, and accomplishments to senior management.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
Skills & Experiences
- Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
- 5 - 8 years of experience in an advertising agency (preferable), with at least 3-5 years in a management role such as a sales manager or supervisor
- If you're fluent in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, you are destined for greatness with a wider audience
- Experience in Corporate Sales, B2B, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Possess various skills such as negotiation, people management, corporate communication, training, CRM, presentation, time management, critical thinking skills
