Job Description
The main job task is to engaged in product development, market research, raw material procurement and cost control for convenience stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on competitors and the market and reflect it in new product development strategies.
- Checking new food trends and consumer preferences.
- Propose innovative food concepts and process improvements.
- Project planning, budgeting and scheduling of new product development and improvement projects
- Research new ingredients and technologies to improve product quality, taste and nutritional value, based on regulatory standards
- Work with internal teams to develop product recipes and make improvements where necessary.
- Work with QC/QA to ensure compliance.
- Analyze cost-effectiveness of raw materials and recommend cost-cutting measures without compromising quality.
- Respond to ad hoc tasks and other spur-of-the-moment requests
- Product Analysis & Menu Engineering
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Skills & Experiences
- At least 2 years' experience in Halal Chain Restaurant as R&D/ Product Development.
- Minimum Diploma/ Bachelor's in Food Science & Technology/ Food Service.
- Well spoken & written in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Knowledge in Asia cuisine.
- Strong communication Leadership skills.
- Attention to details & well organized.
- Ability to work independently.
