Job Description
The Merchandiser Manager is responsible for leading a team of merchandisers to ensure the sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible to lead a merchandising team managing the commercial selection and availability of the right products across all retail channels and product categories to ensure sales targets are met.
- Need to build, manage, train and supervise merchandising team members.
- Targeting to build in-house merchandiser team (Approximate 10-20 members).
- Conduct appraisals and set objectives for merchandising team members.
- Create and maintain a cooperative and motivating team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals.
- Control stock levels based on forecasts for the season.
- Oversee the delivery and distribution of stock to branches and retail partners.
- Propose, plan and implement the promotional campaigns with the senior management team.
- Ensure allocations and stock by location are optimised for full price sell through.
- Produce range plans and allocation plans for new stores.
- Maintain awareness of competitor performance and conduct store visits.
- Identify supply difficulties and deal with any problems or delays as they arise.
- Work closely with merchandiser agency for the update of merchandiser daily work status.
Skills & Experiences
- Minimum 3 years Team Leader or Merchandiser Manager experience
- Experience in leading a team of merchandisers
- Fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Mature, self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in FMCG industry (Pharma, Beauty Retail)
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
