Job Description
The Compliance Officer is responsible to perform the compliance function of the company. He/She should be able to work independently, meticulously and
professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed properly
- Coordinate and perform internal risk assessments while identifying, assessing, and managing risks
- Advise directors and stakeholders on compliance related matters
- Keep directors and stakeholders up to date on compliance issues including risks, audits, regulations, etc.
- Establish, update, implement and maintain companys compliance regulations and policies
- Familiarise with regulations of other countries e.g. Japan, Hong Kong
- Oversee transaction monitoring procedures and implement improvements as required
- Work with internal departments to have companys compliance regulations and policies implemented properly
- File regulatory reports as and when required
- Organise regular compliance-related training for employees
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as and when required
Skills & Experiences
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Law or related studies
- Min 5 years of working experience in related banking/compliance/audit field
- Fluent in English and Malay
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and some other IT knowledge
- In depth knowledge of market foreign exchange market, attention to details and problem solving skills
- Able to work on PH (will be compensated by 35 ALs)
