Job Description
As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in our data analytics team, working
closely with data analysts and engineers. You’ll drive the development of advanced
forecasting and optimization models, helping their clients and consulting teams to
anticipate trends and make data-driven decisions. You’ll work with large datasets,
applying statistical techniques and machine learning to model market dynamics,
predict demand and optimize resource allocation. Your expertise will enable our data
analytics and consulting teams to deliver impactful insights and data-driven
recommendations to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, transform and analyse data using Python and relevant libraries
- Advanced modelling: Develop and implement machine learning models for tasks like prediction and classification
- Effectively communicate complex data findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Build complex methodologies to solve business problems (e.g. estimation procedures, outlier correction)
- Work closely with data analysts, analytics engineers, consultants and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models and processes
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance our data products
Skills & Experiences
- Bachelors degree with a strong academic record in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field. Masters degree is a plus
- At least 2 years of experience as a data scientist, or a related role
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with modern data environments, including cloud-based data platforms and data lakes
- Strong programming skills in Python, with the ability to work with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., PySpark or similar
- Experience with popular machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, AutoML, Tensorflow, or PyTorch
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and related data services
- Exposure to notebook environments such as Jupyter Notebook or Databricks
- Experience with version control (e.g. git)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently in an international team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working according to Agile/Scrum principles
- Understanding of data governance and data privacy practices
