Chargeman BO (11KV) - Port Klang

Job Description

Chargeman is responsible for maintaining the overall electrical installation and maintenance of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible as high tension chargeman. Prepare, plan, coordinate, implement & monitor the preventive, predictive, condition monitoring and breakdown maintenance of electrical supply & distribution, mechanical system and civil.
• Responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant electrical facilities, machineries and equipment to meet the statutory regulations, environment and safety standards.
• Responsible for carrying out high voltage switching of electrical systems.
• To carry out troubleshooting and repairing works for electrical systems.
• To comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga of The Electrical Supply Act and Regulation.
• Responsible for conducting the electrical system audit. Plan, coordinate and implement the countermeasure and improvement activities.
• To supervise, check and confirm maintenance or repair works carried out by the maintenance contractors are done according to schedule, procedure, specification and agreed to the quality standard.
• To enforce all the safety requirements while complying with all electrical maintenance works.
• To follow up and update on day to day operations of the electrical section.
• To assist in troubleshooting of electrical equipment and to attend to electrical breakdown.
• To be overall responsible for the safety and proper operation of high tension power supply and standby generator emergency power supply.
• Any other related duties assigned by superior or the management.
• Ability to liaise with TNB and Suruhanjaya Tenaga. Jabatan Bomba and other regulatory governing bodies to ensure compliance for air compressor, hoist, and fire-fighting diesel motor pump, etc.

Skills & Experiences

• Possess BO Chargeman Certificate (11kv) from Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in the related field
• Good command in both Bahasa Malaysia and English and well communication skill with every level of management.
• Possess own transport
• Experience involved in preventive, predictive maintenance planning, scheduling, execution and manning, in Management of commercial /retail buildings.
• Experience in Mechanical & Electrical installations.
