Accounts & Costing
Key Responsibilities
- Be accountable for local financial book quality, ensure accuracy and compliance for all financial reporting.
- Conducting in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into the companys financial performance.
- Analysing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement.
- Developing, monitoring and managing the companys budgets and financial forecasts.
- Collaborating with various departments to gather inputs for budgeting an ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Analyzing budget to actual variances and providing recommendations to address any discrepancies.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
- Presenting financial information to senior management and assisting them in making informed decisions.
- Contributing to the development of the companys financial strategy and long term goals.
- Identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement based on financial analysis
- Providing insights on potential risks and opportunities that may impact the companys financial performance.
- Leading and managing a team of Assistant Account and Executives
- Providing guidance, training and mentorship to team members.
- Monitoring team performance and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on timely manner.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and internal controls.
- Coordinating with auditors during financial audits and providing necessary documentation.
- Addressing any audit findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Financial Systems and Technology
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and technology solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy and automation in financial process. Especially ERP system.
- Oversee day to day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company asset and prevent financial discrepancies.
Skills & Experiences
- Qualification : Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is an advantage.
- More than 10 years working experience in related field with exposure in the manufacturing environment and in the managerial level
- Well-versed with the local laws and regulations including Malaysian Accounting Standards, Company Act and local tax legislation.
