In the beginning of 1991, Lemar International was commissioned to undertake the introduction and marketing of Iranian Dates, which was an unknown product, here in Malaysia, and in fact this market was totally dominated by American and Iraq products.

In 1990/91, for the first time, Iranian dates were introduced into the market by Lemar International with a total sale of ONE container, Lemar total sales for 1991/92, was FOUR containers. Lemar’s sales rose to over 40% market share and today Iranian dates are considered as product of choice by all Malaysian consumers.
