The EcoOils Group is one of the business units of Kewalram Chanrai, a group of diversified global businesses and enterprises with a rich history spanning over 150 years. The Group has interests in a diverse range of industries – textiles, automotive, agriculture and organic palm residue recycling. EcoOils is the result of Kewalram Group’s venture into eco-friendly efforts via palm residue recycling in 1983. As the business grew and more opportunities arose, it became necessary to establish a new entity to handle the burgeoning industry. Thus, in 2004 the EcoOils Group was formed. EcoOils is the extension of the Group’s efforts to develop environmentally friendly products from palm residue while maintaining an eco-friendly front.

Our core business is the recovery and reuse of waste and residue generated by the palm industry. The collected waste products are then developed into new industrial products. Innovation is an important driving force for members of the EcoOils Group; hence our R&D efforts centre upon this theme. The final products manufactured in our plants are both industrially and commercially valuable, in addition to energy and resource efficient.
