The art of collecting names and numbers of potential customers' designation and contact. These include direct clients and agencies. It can be done by checking media channels, researching, securing databases from others within the industry, getting referrals from clients and friends, and building a database of direct clients and agencies.
2. Fixing Appointments
The art of introducing what we do and eliciting interest to secure an appointment. The art of securing and ensuring the appointment is key and can save valuable time. If done impactfully, this will reduce cancelled and postponed and missed appointments.
3. Presentation of VR
The ability of presenting an overview of what VR does and also some brief case studies. Presentation on our media assets, ability to curate customised media, content creation, adaptation, campaign operations, audit and insights.
4. Fact Finding
The ability to ask the right questions to build trust and securing insights from client about their business, the industry, the bosses needs and wants, their competition, their key goals for the year, their fears, their media preferences, how they spent their marketing budget the previous year, their likes and dislikes for particular channels and why?
Identify the problem statement and their challenges.
Build 50 questions to choose from at the appointment.
5. Determine the budget
Determine the client's budget, how they plan to spend it, how much they have allocated for this campaign, how rigid or flexible is this figure if they like a big idea from you.
6. Curate a proposal
Developing a meaningful proposal with the insights secured through proper fact finding. Also making sure that we know what it would take to exceed the expectations of the budget allocated. Ability to work excel and PowerPoint to generate an exciting proposal is key.
7. Close the deal
The art of closing the sale and securing a signed media order.
8. Client Servicing
Making sure clients are kept informed, clients needs are incorporated and that the client experience with VR is exceptional.
The Media Sales Specialist is to ensure that know about;
The Company, its history, organisational structure, colleagues roles and their responsibilities.
In-depth knowledge about the products and services offered and ability to create proposals.
Elicit through time a deep understanding about the industry, about ambient advertising, case studies, global innovations. Stay informed and spend time reading about the daily.
Ability to use excel and advanced PowerPoint is key.
The Senior Sales Manager has to approach direct clients and agencies to build relationships, present what we do, our portfolio, and ensure they practice the process of sales as determined above.
