Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting and budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.
- Daily
- 1. Establish and oversee full aspects of accounting functions, policies and processes related to Accounting and Financial function in line with internal controls and processes to ensure compliance with local FRS, US GAAP and SOX
- 2. Manage and oversee accurate and timely completion of A/P, A/R and GL transaction processing, including review, reconciliation, and explanation of key movements. Ensure the accuracy of monthly and yearly account closing and the daily operations of the accounting department.
- 3. Review, analyze and provide commentaries for key fluctuation of monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) and produce financial reports or statements to business partner internal stakeholders to support key initiative
- As needed
- 1. Lead, support and liaise with external statutory bodies (corporate secretary, audit, tax, east coast economic development council and related government department). Support documentation and facilitate any needful to meet incentive programmes, audit filling, tax filing and local compliance matters.
- 2. Manage and oversee Treasury and Taxation functions including cash flow forecast, liaison with banks and supporting any tax and treasury queries from corporate headquarters. Manage banking relationships, cash holdings and foreign exchange hedging in line with corporate policies and procedures.
- 3. Lead and participate in ad-hoc special projects identified by management for process improvement etc. Support and complete any ad-hoc requirements (facilitate insurance annual requirement, statistic survey, tax questionnaire)
- 4. People management lead and develop a finance team in finance and accounting reporting and compliance matters.
- 5. Financial system support - drive and implement financial system as required by corporate.
- Monthly
- 1. Coordinate and prepare forecasts quarterly in line with corporate deadlines and requirements.
- 2. Prepare and present budget in annual exercise.
- 3. Drive and monitor business performance in line with expectations.
Skills & Experiences
- Minimum 7 years experience in Financial Accounting
- Hands on experience in the following:
- - Statutory reporting
- - Budget forecast
- - Excel skill.
- Strong leadership experience in Startup Environment
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Experience setting up processes
- Must be able to work in Kuala Terengganu for 3 years, then move to Farm office at Merang, Setiu.
