Product Development Executive or Manager (Halal)

Job Description

The main job task is to engaged in product development, market research, raw material procurement and cost control for convenience stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on competitors and the market and reflect it in new product development strategies.
• Checking new food trends and consumer preferences.
• Propose innovative food concepts and process improvements.
• Project planning, budgeting and scheduling of new product development and improvement projects
• Research new ingredients and technologies to improve product quality, taste and nutritional value, based on regulatory standards
• Work with internal teams to develop product recipes and make improvements where necessary.
• Work with QC/QA to ensure compliance.
• Analyze cost-effectiveness of raw materials and recommend cost-cutting measures without compromising quality.
• Respond to ad hoc tasks and other spur-of-the-moment requests
• Product Analysis & Menu Engineering 
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. 

Skills & Experiences

• At least 2 years' experience in Halal Chain Restaurant as R&D/ Product Development.
• Minimum Diploma/ Bachelor's in Food Science & Technology/ Food Service.
• Well spoken & written in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Knowledge in Asia cuisine. 
• Strong communication Leadership skills.
• Attention to details & well organized. 
• Ability to work independently.
